1. Using Our Website

The AREP website is provided to help visitors learn about our motorcycle safety courses, register for training, contact us, and access information related to our programs and services.

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and not to interfere with its operation, security, or availability.

2. Course Information & Registration

We work to keep course descriptions, schedules, pricing, availability, requirements, and other information on our website accurate and current. Information may occasionally change or contain an error.

When you register for a course, your purchase and participation are also subject to the course policies, requirements, acknowledgments, and other terms presented during the registration process. Those policies are part of your agreement with AREP when you purchase a course.

Registration and payment reserve a seat in a course. They do not guarantee successful course completion, issuance of a Certificate of Completion, or a motorcycle license or endorsement.

Students are responsible for reviewing and meeting the requirements associated with the course for which they register.

3. Payments

Online payments are processed through Wix and its payment services.

AREP does not directly store complete credit or debit card information.

Course prices, fees, discounts, promotions, schedules, and availability may change.

Refunds, rescheduling, cancellations, and other purchase-related matters are governed by the policies presented and agreed to during course registration.

4. Motorcycle Training & Required Waivers

Motorcycle operation and training involve inherent risks. Participation in an AREP RiderCourse is subject to applicable course requirements and required participant agreements, including the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) waiver completed in person before participating in riding activities.

Registration and participation do not guarantee successful course completion, issuance of a Certificate of Completion, licensing or endorsement, or any particular riding outcome.

5. Website Content

We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate and useful information through our website. However, website information is provided for general informational purposes and may be updated as our courses, schedules, policies, services, or requirements change.

If information on our website conflicts with requirements established by an applicable government agency, licensing authority, or course provider, the applicable official requirements will control.

6. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, original content on this website—including AREP text, photographs, graphics, logos, designs, and other original materials—is owned by or used with permission by Appalachian Rider Education Program.

You are welcome to view our website and share links to our pages.

AREP-owned content may not be copied, reproduced, republished, sold, modified, or used commercially without our permission.

4. Driver's License Information & Tennessee Course Completion

AREP collects your driver's license state and driver's license number as part of the motorcycle training registration and completion process.

This information is required for submission to the State of Tennessee's designated system so that eligible students who successfully complete the applicable course can receive their Certificate of Completion.

Other identifying or course-completion information may also be submitted when required by the State of Tennessee.

5. Payments

Online payments are processed through Wix and its payment services.

AREP does not directly store complete credit or debit card numbers.

Payment information is handled by the applicable payment provider according to its own security practices and privacy policies.

6. How We Share Information

AREP does not sell personal information.

Participation in an individual testimonial or promotional feature is voluntary.

Electronic registration and transaction information may also be maintained through Wix according to its systems and applicable retention practices.

Certain physical course records may be maintained separately by AREP as appropriate for training, insurance, business, or legal purposes.

11. Children's Privacy & Minor Students

Our website is not directed toward children under 13, and AREP does not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13.

Certain AREP courses may be available to eligible students under 18 in accordance with applicable course and state requirements. Participants under 18 must have a parent or authorized guardian sign the required MSF waiver in person at the event location before participating. This mirrors the requirement stated directly on the MSF waiver.

You may contact AREP if you have questions about personal information you have provided to us or would like to request that information be corrected or updated.

Certain records may need to be retained for legitimate business, training, insurance, government, or legal purposes.

Course Registration Policies

These policies apply to AREP RiderCourse registrations. Additional course-specific requirements or information may be presented during registration.

By completing a course purchase, you acknowledge and agree to the applicable policies and requirements presented during registration.

Payment & Refunds

• All course registrations are non-refundable.

• Your registration reserves a seat in a scheduled class. Payment does not guarantee successful course completion or a Certificate of Completion.

Rescheduling, No-Shows & Late Arrivals

• One reschedule is permitted with a minimum of 6 days' advance notice.

• Students who do not attend their scheduled class or arrive late without prior approval forfeit their registration fee.

MSF eCourse

• The required MSF eCourse must be completed before your scheduled class.

• The eCourse link is emailed following registration.

• Students are responsible for completing the required eCourse before attending class.

Course Completion

A Certificate of Completion must be earned. Registration or payment does not guarantee a certificate.

Students must successfully complete all applicable course requirements, including the required MSF eCourse and written and riding evaluations, to earn a Certificate of Completion.

Course Prerequisite

Students registering for the Basic RiderCourse must already be able to balance and ride a two-wheeled bicycle.

The Basic RiderCourse teaches motorcycle operation and riding skills; it is not designed to teach two-wheeled balance. Students must already possess this prerequisite before participating.

Students Under 18

Students under 18 must have a parent or authorized guardian present before class to complete and sign the required MSF waiver in person.

If the required waiver has not been properly completed before class begins, the student cannot participate and the registration fee will be forfeited.

This requirement is consistent with the MSF waiver, which specifically requires an in-person parent or authorized guardian signature for participants under 18.

Registration Information

Students must register using their full legal first, middle, and last name(s), exactly as they appear on their driver's license.

Accurate registration information is required for course records and Certificate of Completion processing.

Discounts

Military and Student discounts are available for eligible Basic RiderCourse and Experienced RiderCourse registrations.

Discounts are not available for Small Group Basic RiderCourse registrations.

Proof of eligibility must be presented during class.

Gift Cards

Gift Card numbers should be entered in the Coupon Code field during checkout.

Course Communications

The email address and mobile phone number provided during registration may be used to send important course-related communications, including eCourse information, instructions, reminders, and class updates.
